Participants in the NUS Executive MSc in Management are mature candidates (aged 30 and above) from diverse educational backgrounds and with a wide range of experiences.
The EMIM programme is designed for experienced learners, with diverse educational background, aiming to refresh their business skills, enhance their careers, making a return from a career break, or re-entering the workforce.
Applicants must complete two NUS Business School gateway courses with a minimum Merit grade and if English is not their native language or medium of prior instruction, TOEFL of at least 5.0 (100) or IELTS of at least 7 will be required.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an admission interview.
Yes, completing the Financial Analysis and Business Decisions for Non-Finance Managers (Synchronous e-learning) (2 Units) and Business Analytics: Decision Making through Excel (Synchronous e-learning) (2 Units) courses are mandatory.
These gateway courses are eligible for SkillsFuture subsidies
Candidates will need to attain at least a Merit grade for the above gateway courses as part of the admissions criteria to the EMIM programme.
FAQ
Self-funded Singaporeans & Singapore PRs enrolling in the EMIM January 2027 intake can receive up to 40% tuition fee rebates.
Gateway courses are not eligible for the 40% tuition fee rebate; however, they are eligible for SkillsFuture subsidies.
Singapore citizens and permanent residents are entitled to subsidies from SkillsFuture Singapore for their first attempts in each course.
No, the programme is currently not eligible for SkillsFuture credits
While there are no scholarships or bursaries available, eligible applicants may benefit from the following tuition fee rebates:
- 40% tuition fee rebate* for self-funded Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents (for the January 2027 intake)
- 20% tuition fee rebate* for NUS alumni
*Rebates are not stackable and you are only entitled to one form of rebate.

The part-time programme has a fixed and sequential programme structure, and classes are mostly hybrid. Candidates must obtain a minimum Cumulative Average Point (CAP) of 3.2 over the programme period.

The programme is structured in a modular format to be executive-friendly.
Participants are required to complete 9 courses for a total of 40 units (including the two 2-unit gateway courses) offered by NUS Business School over four semesters.
Yes, EMIM candidates come together in-person for the first two weeks of their first semester, which includes orientation activities to build cohort spirit. The programme concludes with an in-person gathering during the final two weeks of the fourth semester.
A minimum of 70% attendance is required. Absence will result in loss of class participation.
To graduate from our NUS Executive MSc in Management programme, you must complete the programme requirements and achieve a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.2 (out of 5.0).
In the event that you are unable to maintain a GPA of 3.2 and above, the following scenarios may occur:
- If your GPA is less than 3.2 but more than 2.5, you will receive an initial warning. This will lead to dismissal from the programme should your GPA remain below 3.2 for the third consecutive semester.
- If your GPA is 2.5 or below for two consecutive semesters, you will automatically be dropped from the programme.
No, a student pass will not be issued to international students on this programme.
